Role Overview
The Art Teacher will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning. This role requires a teacher who is passionate about Art subject education and committed to fostering a stimulating and supportive classroom environment.
Qualifications and Experience
- A recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, Teaching License, or equivalent).
- A degree related to the subject you teach is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of the Bilingual curriculum and effective pedagogy.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and classroom management skills.
- Bachelors Degree in English is required.
What the School Offers
- Salary Package: Competitive, tax-free annual salary starting at KD 10,380/USD 34,600, progressing to KD 12,275/USD 41,000 at the midpoint, and reaching KD 13,775/USD 46,000 at the maximum, based on experience and qualifications. Salary is paid monthly for 12 months, from September through August.
- Housing: Fully furnished, climate-controlled single apartment with all utilities covered. Additionally, a local phone line installation is provided at no cost, with free local calls included.
- Airfare: Annual economy class round-trip air transportation provided.
- Health Insurance: Comprehensive international health insurance for the employee.
- Tuition Fee Benefit: Full tuition coverage for up to two children for teaching couples, or one child for single teachers, provided admission requirements are met and places are available.
- Allowances: A baggage allowance of KD 400/USD 1,330 is reimbursed at the start and end of service. A settling-in allowance of KD 200/USD 660 is paid upon arrival in Kuwait.
- Transportation: School-provided bus service for commuting to and from work, with late buses available on meeting and club days.
- Visa Sponsorship: All visa-related costs, including medical examination, police clearance, and embassy fees, as well as Kuwait residency and Civil ID expenses, are covered by the school.
- Additional Benefits: Sick leave in line with Kuwaiti labor laws, with up to six days of unused sick leave compensated at the end of each academic year. Indemnity payment of 15 days’ salary per year of service, increasing to one month after five years. Support for professional development, including Arabic language training for non-Arabic speakers. Force Majeure provision for employee evacuation and repatriation, including a one-month salary.
