Role Overview
 
The Art & Design Teacher will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning. This role requires a teacher who is passionate about Art & Design subject education and committed to fostering a stimulating and supportive classroom environment.
 
Teaching, Learning & Assessment
 

•  Planning for outstanding teaching and assessment in line with the schools Teaching and
   Learning, and Assessment policies.
• Ensure scope and sequence, unit and lesson planning is up to date, innovative and in line
  with IB and school requirements.

Professional duties and responsibilities:
 

•  Undertake duties as part of the staff duty rota and cover for absent colleagues.
• Undertake relevant training and professional development related to the role.
• Support school events and activities, including Spark tank and the ECA programme.
• Ensuring collaboration and support for all stakeholders.
• Consistently demonstrate professionalism and high professional standards.
•  Actively participate in the professional  community.
•  Any other reasonable duties and additional hours of work.

  Qualification & Experience

•  A recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, Teaching License, or equivalent).
•  A Bachelors Degree in Art, Design or related subject and qualified teacher status.
• Experience and passion for teaching Art & Design in an upper/high school setting.
•  Strong knowledge of the IB curriculum and effective pedagogy.
•  Excellent communication, organisational, and classroom management skills.
• Experience teaching IB MYP Visual Arts & MYP/DP Design.
